The main goal of this assignment was to create either a tea, coffee, or chocolate fair trade brand with eco-friendly material. Following the guidelines of health, I decided to go with tea packaging. I wanted to focus on loose leaf tea specifically because there is something about being able to steep your tea when it’s not restricted to a teabag and personally, I believe the tea has a better taste when you steep loose leaf.

Process

For my process, I researched a variety of tea brands and noted what made the specific brands stand out and what also made me not want to buy the tea. I also went into grocery stores and browsed all the teas in stock to see what they were missing. After I decided on my simplistic approach to this tea, I researched the various containers I could store the loose leaf tea in. Eventually, I found a glass packaging with a wooden top and spoon included for scooping the tea. This glass container was the perfect packaging in my opinion because it allows the customer to see the product and be able to reuse the container once they are done with the tea. Therefore, the packaging is made to be eco-friendly with no waste.
